The Importance of Extracurricular Activities in a Child’s Development
Jan van Blam emphasized the significance of allowing children time for extracurricular activities, which can be crucial for their overall development. At Einstein School, students are encouraged to participate in sports and other interests outside of academics. This approach not only helps in building well-rounded individuals but also prevents burnout from excessive academic pressure. Jan noted, “You’re allowing these kids to have a life outside of school… they get to participate in extracurricular activities, they can go to sports, they can hang out with friends.”
