Students with dyslexia are in need of funds. Legislature has failed to give additional moneys to school districts in CT recently. It impacts 1-4 students out of a class of 24 and need to be addressed in the future. Without funding, it will add an additional financial burden to said school districts.

Stroud student overcomes dyslexia to win national poetry competition

Dyslexic student Chloe Bayliss recently won a national poetry competition. Her poem about an experience that had a great impact on her life was praised by her English teacher, Elaine Lambert, as “a wonderful accomplishment.” Chloe attended the Chartered Institute of Library and Information Professionals Carnegie Awards for children’s literature as part of her award.
