Individuals with dyslexia have trouble interpreting written symbols and their meanings–that is, they face particular challenges when trying to read. Irish author Shane Casey is aware of these challenges. With them in mind, he has published a book which utilizes particular fonts, specific color schemes, and page layouts to create a book that is accessible to those readers with dyslexia.

The book, his second, contains three short stories. The stories are illustrated by artist Vincent Killowry. The focus of each story is local flora and fauna. Casey is a governmental Biodiversity Author, who worries that children are growing up unfamiliar with Irish plants and animals. He hopes teach them about their environment, and make that teaching available to any and all children, even those who might traditionally struggle with reading.
